Real estate is in the family, though I resisted it for a long time. My parents were in the business in California when I was growing up, and back then I wanted nothing to do with it. Now here I am.
Before real estate I spent more than a decade teaching English at universities abroad. Five years in East Asia, in South Korea and China, and seven in the Middle East, in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. I am fluent in English and Spanish and still know my way around phrases in Korean and Arabic. I still feel connected to those places, and they are a big part of how I see the world.
When I came back to the U.S. I could have landed anywhere. My younger brother, an Army officer stationed at Fort Hood at the time, told me to take a look at Austin. He was right. I settled in Central Texas in 2017, earned my Texas real estate license that May, and was named Rookie of the Year at my first brokerage.
Before founding Kritt Real Estate as a broker, I witnessed firsthand the stress and confusion families face when handling estate responsibilities. Time and again, I saw heirs lose money, peace, and the clarity they desperately needed, simply due to a lack of guidance.
I watched executors get taken advantage of by investors and wholesalers who presented themselves as the only option. I saw families accept deeply discounted off-market offers because no one explained their true choices. These experiences fueled my passion for providing the kind of support that makes a real difference.
Unlike traditional real estate agents focused on volume, I step into the role of a fiduciary-minded strategist. I develop a tailored strategy based on each estate’s unique needs, ensuring that every aspect of the sale is handled with care, compliance, and expertise.
I take personal responsibility for every transaction. I do not delegate my clients to junior agents or assistants. From first consultation to final closing, I oversee the details myself. My mission is simple: to lift the burden of selling a property during difficult times while maximizing the value of the estate.
I am a licensed Texas real estate broker, not only an agent. A broker’s license in Texas takes years of active experience, hundreds of additional education hours, and a separate, tougher exam, and it carries full legal responsibility for the brokerage and its clients. In Texas, only a little over 10% of license holders have earned it. For an executor or an attorney, this level of licensure is exactly the point.
I am also a Certified Probate Expert, and I am fluent in English and Spanish, which often matters when an estate touches family members who are more comfortable in one or the other.
